Green Party endorses Vision/COPE/Green municipal deal

September 20th, 2008 · 1 Comment

It’s not officially out yet, but the Green Party of Vancouver unanimously endorsed the co-operation agreement among the three parties, aimed at ensuring they don’t compete with each other in civic-election campaign. The Green Party candidate for school board has even withdrawn his name, in order to abide the the letter and spirit of the deal.

That leaves Stuart Mackinnon as the Green’s candidate for the one park-board slate spot that the party got as its share of the agreement.

Funny, that’s what I said on my blog from last weekend:

Now, the mind begins to wonder, who might this mysterious Green Party candidate be for Parks Board? A curious little birdy wonders if it will be none other than Stuart McKinnon? I guess time will tell and much more is to come. It’s shaping up to be one of the most interesting Vancouver city elections in years and we’re looking forward to it.
