A tribute to Mayor Sam Sullivan in the works

November 21st, 2008 · 5 Comments

I know it’s hard for some people to accept, but our outgoing mayor does have some friends out there, so presumably they’ll all be showing up for this shindig to honour him.

They could actually turn this into a money-maker, since I’m sure there’s more than one person who’d be willing to pay top dollar to hear what others have to say about our soon-to-be-departed mayor.

Subject: Mayor Sullivan Roast & Toast

Hello all,
A special Spirit of Vancouver luncheon is being held on Monday,
December 1 to celebrate some of Sam’s accomplishments after 15 years
on City Council, both as a Councillor and as our Mayor for the last
three years.

I hope you can join us there.
Please see the attached outline of the event.
Warm Regards,
Jeannie Bates

Fabula doesn’t appear to be cc’d on this list. Presumably one of the candidates invited you? Don’t tell me it’s time to break out the lie detector again!

    Aw, isn’t that nice.

    And when’s the wedding…?

Anything for the rabid soCons of the local Tory cabal to prop up, so that it’s “easier” to convince the ones in Ottawa, really running the Conservatives–who rightly can’t stand Sam, that he’s worth the risk.

That’s a kin to adding food colouring to a petrie dish full of plague.

Good luck with that…both of you.

    Fools.

“Sam’s accomplishments”? Seems to me those would account for about 0.01 seconds of a speech or roast……what the hell would they talk about the rest of the night? He’s done nothing for fifteen years – time to end the fraud that has been his collection of a pay cheque all this time.

I wonder what’s next for Sam. How about a Spinal Chordz reunion tour? I would pay top dollar to see that.
